On March 16th, 2023, JoeDoughBoi, the co-owner of the creepypasta in the present day, released a completely revamped version of the game that can be downloaded here.
Since then, it has been turned into a video game that replicates the experience ( sans X actually coming out of the screen) by MY5TCrimson. Sonic.exe originated as a Creepypasta fanfic by Sir JC the Hyena. Sonic the Hedgehog, now with 70% more oceans of blood!
